INSIGHT – 65.7% of businesses can go cloud, but don’t! – ABS
There are two sides to the coin like all things in life, and also comes down to, what comes first, the chicken or the egg?
People are too busy running their business, they are putting out fires, they are re-ordering supplies, they are getting on top of their invoicing. They are too busy to automate or too busy to even see the benefits of automation.
People don’t know much about setting up processes that trigger automated scripts that performs certain actions and certain times depending on the needs of the business, that can link to a centralized system that provides dashboard reporting so you can track business performance. Most people don’t even know you can get this straight off the shelf currently. No wonder people don’t make much of an effort to adopt tech, or even see its importance.
“I don’t have time for that” some people say, sad thing is, they never will have time. And the people that do make the time, they now have a seat at the party.

The Cloud / SaaS
The cloud is essentially someone else’s computer/server that runs features of your business (e.g. payroll system, accounting system) you pay them money in exchange for the features you want. The cloud runs off the internet.
This brings many benefits, it allows your business to scale quickly, as opposed to the traditional method of going down the infrastructure pathway.
Instead of paying a huge lump sum of your capital, you can spread the cost over multiple years depending on length of contract/SaaS provider you use.
Each SaaS provider has a different business model, and thus different SaaS providers work great for certain businesses, other SaaS providers work better with other companies. Companies are just as unique as people, every company offers something different to the market, thus you need to consider the requirements of your company. Don’t get upsold by smooth talking sales people!
